My view of the helping relationship is that I am your partner in facilitating the problem solving process. Based on positive psychology and a belief in human resilience, our work together will support an exploration of your strengths, as well as areas of concern.
I offer short term and more ongoing options for you to give therapy and coaching a try. As an experienced, licensed clinician, I know that you want results from working with a therapist or coach. I incorporate practical problem solving approaches with traditional talk/listen techniques in a unique synthesis to help you find relief from emotional distress, depression, anxiety and a myriad of other personal concerns. My goal is to assist you to improve functioning and the ability to cope with whatever circumstances and decisions you may be facing.
Informing our work together are the areas of Positive Psychology, Collaborative Problem Solving, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Rational Emotive Therapy, Acceptance Therapy, Feminist Therapy and Relational Models.
